Aetanthus Nodosus

Aetanthus nodosus is native to cloud forests in the Andes in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru between 1450 and 3900 m.
This unusual shrub produces thick and leathery leaves and stunning, long tubular flowers that are bright red towards the base and yellow at the apex.
They are followed by dark purple to black fruits with a single large seed .
