Albuca Viscosa
Albuca viscosa grows leaves and flowers annually from a perennial bulb, ovoid in shape, about 3 cm to 4 cm in diameter. This attractive winter growing bulb is distributed in the western and Karoo parts of South Africa. The plants are often confused with Albuca spiralis . The leaves are also sticky, a feature seemingly missing in Albuca spiralis. Albuca viscosa and Albuca spiralis flower at the end of the growing season . Propagation is by seeds. It is a rewarding species to grow.
