climbing vine in the pumpkin family is distributed from Mexico to Central America. Not much known of the Cucurbit family producing fairly large, round, yellow-orange fruits with dark orange-red pulp. They have a very nice mild flavor, kind of like a creamy papaya. It climbs to about 20 m and has deeply lobed leaves, creamy yellow flowers and yellow, edible, delicious fruits, about the size of a grapefruit.
