THIS LISTING IS FOR 3 SEEDS OF PARIS QUADRIFOLIA This very unusual plant has solitary flowers with four or more narrow, greenish, thread-like petals, and green petaloid sepals, the flower being borne in May above a single whorl of four or more stem leaves. Each plant only produces one blueberry-like fruit, which is poisonous. Growing conditions are the same as for Trilliums, the creeping rhizomes increasing steadily when happy. Paris quadrifolia is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.3 m (1ft). It is hardy to zone (UK) 6. It is in flower from May to August. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Flies, midges. The plant is self-fertile. Suitable for: light (sandy) and medium (loamy) soils. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils and can grow in very alkaline soils. It can grow in full shade (deep woodland) or semi-shade (light woodland). It prefers moist soil.
